Securitize said on October 28 it plans to integrate with the Stellar network, adding another blockchain option for institutional asset managers issuing and managing tokenized financial products. The announcement came alongside Meridian 2026, the Stellar Development Foundation’s annual conference in Lisbon. The companies have not named a launch date or the first products to use the connection, according to Stellar’s announcement.
What would the Stellar connection let Securitize do?
It would let Securitize support the issuance and management of tokenized financial assets on Stellar. In this process, a traditional financial product is represented by a digital token on a blockchain. Securitize provides infrastructure for bringing those products onchain; the Stellar network is the additional place where supported tokens could be issued and managed.
Think of Stellar as another set of rails for a financial product. The planned connection expands the networks asset managers can choose from. Securitize said that choice can reflect a partner’s operational and distribution needs. Its announcement did not describe a specific product’s issuance steps, transfer rules or settlement arrangements, so those details remain open.
Who handles the regulated services?
Securitize says it works with asset managers including Apollo, BlackRock, BNY, Hamilton Lane, KKR and VanEck. Its regulated services are provided through subsidiaries, including a US registered broker-dealer, transfer agent and investment adviser, as well as a Spanish investment firm supervised by Spain’s securities regulator. These are parts of Securitize’s existing infrastructure; the announcement does not say which will serve any future Stellar product.
The company reported approximately $5 billion in tokenized securities on its platform as of September 30, 2026. That figure covers its platform overall. It does not mean $5 billion of assets are on Stellar, or that any Securitize product has launched there.
What protections can Stellar assets use?
Stellar says assets on its network can be configured with know-your-customer checks, clawbacks and sanctions-compliance controls. Those are network capabilities for issuers to configure; Securitize has not said how they will apply to a particular product under the planned integration.
Securitize co-founder and CEO Carlos Domingo said the company sees Stellar as having the fourth-largest ecosystem for tokenized real-world assets. That ranking is his company’s characterization in the announcement. Stellar’s chief executive, Denelle Dixon, said the partnership could expand infrastructure for asset managers.
For now, the confirmed change is a planned connection that broadens Securitize’s network options. The company says it will provide details about supported assets later. Its release also says the integration could be delayed, changed or not completed.
